SKM Recycling, established in 1999, provides recycling sorting services to councils across Victoria. As the recycling industry continues to expand, the company has evolved to become an industry leader in sorting recyclables collected from households and businesses. The wholly Australian owned company has sites in Coolaroo, Mornington and Laverton. SKM services 12 councils and Regional Waste Management Groups, including:

Each weekday more than 500 tonnes are recycled, including:
Paper
Cardboard
Aluminium and Steel Cans
Plastic Bottles and Jars
Glass Packaging
SKM recycling also provides collections of recyclables from commercial / industrial businesses, schools, hospitals and various government departments. Recyclable material received is sorted then sold for reprocessing into new diverse products such as packaging, clothing and outdoor plastic furniture. Clients include manufacturing facilities such as paper and cardboard mills.
Purpose-built sorting equipment enables SKM to recover the highest levels of recyclable materials. By diverting recyclables from landfill SKM is helping councils and businesses to meet their waste reduction targets.
